Cleistocactus strausii е един от най-популярните декоративни кактуси и произхожда от високите планински райони на Боливия и Аржентина.
Стебло: Светло, сиво-зелено, разклонено, от 1 до 3 см високо, до 8 см в диаметър.
Ребра: До 25, малки и ниски, с гъсто разположени бели ареоли.
Централни бодли: 4, достигащи до 2 см на дължина.
Радиални бодли: Достигат до 30-40, сребристо-бели, тънки и меки, с дължина до 5 см.

Отглеждане
