Описание [1]
Стебло: Единично или на туфа, сферично до ниско-цилиндрично, до 7 см диаметър и до 10 см височина, с вълнест връх, тъмно-зелено до сиво-зелено
Мамили: конични, с размери 15х12 мм
Радиални бодли: 6-9 (-16), прави, разперени, с дължина до 1 см, бели
Централни бодли: 0-1 (-3), леко завити надолу, с дължина 1-1.5 см, черно-кафяви
Цветове: 2.5-4 см широки и 2-3 см дълги, бледо-жълти
Отглеждане:
Бавно растящи, непретенциозни към почвен субстрат растения. Поливат се рядко, но обилно. Цъфтят след осмата си година.Нуждаят се от директно слънце за да запазят компактен вид и гъсти бодли. През зимата се държат напълно сухи при температури 3 - 12 °C. Издържат на краткотрайни застудявания до - 10° C.
Размножаване: От семена или издънки.
Болести: Сравнително издържливи растения.
