Описание[1]
Стебло: Единично или на туфа, яйцеобразно, до 5 см диаметър и до 7 см височина, синьо-зелено
Мамили: конични, с размери 13х15 мм
Радиални бодли: 14-18, прави, хоризонтално преплетени, бели, с дължина 1-2,5 см.
Централни бодли: 3-4, разположени на кръст, леко усукани надолу, тъмно-кафяви, с дължина до 3 см
Цветове: до 7 см широки и до 5 см дълги, жълти , с червеникава сърцевина,
Отглеждане:
Бавно растящи, непретенциозни към почвен субстрат растения. Поливат се рядко, но обилно. Цъфтят през седмата си година.Нуждаят се от директно слънце за да запазят компактен вид и гъсти бодли. През зимата се държат напълно сухи при температури 3 - 12 °C. Издържат на краткотрайни застудявания до - 10° C.
Размножаване: От семена или издънки.
Болести: Сравнително издържливи растения.
