Описание[1]
Стебло: единично, плоско-сферично, 20-40 см диаметър и 10 см височина, тъмно-зелено
Ребра: 13-35, неравномерно дебели
Радиални бодли: 6-9, 2-4.5 см дълги, леко извити, притиснати към стеблото, бледо жълти
Централни бодли: 4, до 3.5 см дълги, три по-къси насочени нагоре, четвърти най-дълъг надолу, всички леко извити, без кука, бледо жълти
Цветове: 3-4 см широки и 3-4 см дълги, розово-лилави
Отглеждане:
Относително лесни за отглеждане кактуси. Младите растения се садят в по-богат на хумус субстрат, при по-големите трябва да е по-слаб. В него да не присъства варовик. Саксията трябва да е с такъв размер, че кореновата система на кактуса да може да обхване целия обем от почва. Цъфтят при достигане на диаметър 11-12 см. Поливат се по-рядко, но обилно. Нуждаят се от най-силното слънце и свеж въздух, който може да се осигури. През зимата се държат напълно сухи при температури 8 - 12 °C. Издържат на краткотрайни застудявания до - 8° C.

Болести: Издържливи растения. Възрастните екземпляри често хвърлят корените си, обикновенно зимата
