Описание[1]
Стебло: единични, плоско-сферични, с диаметър 20 см, тъмно-зелени
Ребра: 24, разделени на закръглени мамили
Бодли: 3-10, не различаващи се радиални от централни, 3.5-7 см дълги, завити, не се разплитат, жълтеникави
Цветове: 4,5 см широки и 4 см дълги, бяло-жълти до розово-жълти
Отглеждане:
Не особено трудни за отглеждане растения, стига човек да има търпение. Цъфтят към дванадесетата си година при подходящо отглеждане. Нуждаят се от богат на хумус субстрат. Поливат се по-рядко, но обилно. Нуждаят се от директно слънце, за да запазят компактен вид, дълги и гъсти бодли. През зимата се държат напълно сухи при температури 3 - 15 °C. Издържат на краткотрайни застудявания до - 5° C.
Размножаване: От семена.
Болести: Рядко страдат от фузариум и други гъбични болести. Възрастните растения често хвърлят корените си
