Описание [1]
Стебло: Единично или на група, сферично, до 18 см диаметър, до 19 см височина, с вълнест връх, тъмно-зелено
Мамили: конични, със закръглени върхове, много големи, с размери 40х60 мм, с пентаграмна основа
Радиални бодли: 5-8, завити към тялото, дебели, с дължина 2-2.5 см, жълти до кафеникави
Централни бодли: липсват
Цветове: 6-11 см широки, ароматни, белезникаво-розови до червени
Отглеждане:
Бавно растящи, непретенциозни към почвен субстрат растения. Поливат се рядко, но обилно. Цъфтят след осмата си година.Нуждаят се от директно слънце за да запазят компактен вид и гъсти бодли. През зимата се държат напълно сухи при температури 3 - 12 °C. Издържат на краткотрайни застудявания до - 10° C.
Размножаване: От семена или издънки.
Болести: Сравнително издържливи растения.
