Описание [1]
Стебло: Единично, сферично, 3-6 см диаметър и 5-8 см височина, тъмно-зелено
Мамили: конични, 8 мм, с пух между тях
Радиални бодли: 14-16, прави, преплетени, бели, с дължина 1-1.5 см, бели
Централни бодли: 0 (-1), шилест, леко извит, с дължина 1 см, типово черен
Цветове: до 3,5 см широки и 3 см дълги, зеленикаво-жълти
Отглеждане:
Бавно растящи, непретенциозни към почвен субстрат растения. Поливат се рядко, но обилно. Цъфтят през седмата си година.Нуждаят се от директно слънце за да запазят компактен вид и гъсти бодли. През зимата се държат напълно сухи при температури 3 - 12 °C. Издържат на краткотрайни застудявания до - 10° C.
Размножаване: От семена, много рядко от издънки.
Болести: Сравнително издържливи растения.
